Teens and tweens can try this fun new escape room in May! The kits will be available at the Reference Desk on the 2nd floor and will be 1 per person. It can be played alone or with others!

Are you an adult who wants to go to college, but needs help?? Each week, a representative from the WorkSmart Network will be at the library and available for drop-in meetings to explore the program's services and your eligibility. WorkSmart offers financial assistance with college tuition and fees; career exploration and job search strategies; resume and cover letter assistance and more! Eligible adults include dislocated workers, Veterans and those who meet income eligibility requirements. 

Children can improve their reading skills and make a new, furry, four-legged friend by reading aloud to a licensed therapy dog!  No registration is necessary, just drop in for some one-on-one time with a canine friend!

Stop by the Creative Zone in the TalkReadPlay Center each week with your preschoolers for a variety of Kindergarten Readiness activities to help your kiddo work on skills to get them ready for Kindergarten!  This is a drop in weekly program from 10am-2pm specifically for preschool kids.  There will be a variety of activities to participate in and it's a great time to work with your preschoolers to help them prepare for their start to school!

The Show & Tell Book Club is for anyone who loves to read what THEY want to read! In this book club we will not have an assigned book to talk about - we will just trade book recommendations and talk about whatever we've been reading recently. Socialize with fellow book lovers in a fun, casual environment! This book club will meet every other month.

Come join us for one of our first events using the Nintendo Switch! We will be hosting a Mario Kart Tournament in the community room for teens and tweens. Prizes for the top racers will be available. Event for ages 11-17.

Every Tuesday our elementary age friends (grades 4K-5th) are invited to join us in the TalkReadPlay Center programming room for some S.T.E.A.M. Team challenges and fun with Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math!

If you are someone who enjoys scrapbooking, cardmaking, using the Cricut or anything else "paper arts" related, then our Paper Arts Club is for you! This group will meet the first and third Tuesday of each month in our Makerspace. Bring a project to work on or get a new idea for someone else!

Dr. Pompey talks about his experiences leading the famed UW-Marching Band, as well as what it is like to succeed the legendary Mike Leckrone. Dr. Pompey gives an inside look into the beloved organization that has been sharing music with the people of Wisconsin since 1885. This event is part of the Badger Talks program, which extends the resources of UW-Madison to citizens throughout the state.

Join us for another installment of Jewelry Making for Beginners!

We will be learning to make jewelry with wire & strung beads.

Although this is designed as an adult program, youth 14 years or older are welcome to accompany an adult. Past Jewelry Making for Beginners students are welcome as well! (However, these students may be moved to the waitlist at staff discretion depending on registration needs to ensure this opportunity is available to new students.)

Supplies & in library use tools will be provided, but you are welcome to bring any supplies from home if you have them in your stash. Jewelry making supply donations are also always welcome!
